Sponsoring Local Scholarship Programs
By soci incSOCI has sponsored the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation for the fourth consecutive year. The Hendrick Scholarship Foundation’s mission is to enable disadvantaged youth to break the cycle of poverty by obtaining a college education through financial assistance and support services. This foundation has changed the trajectory of their students’ futures, providing more that $1 million in scholarships since 1991 and 70% of the students earning a college degree.

SOCI has participated in the Taste of Elegance event at Southfork Ranch which is a lively event that showcases a number of local food vendors and eateries as well as exciting auction events. We have contributed silent auction items such as Blanco’s Silgranit 60/40 Undermount Kitchen Sink and the Delta Addison Touch Kitchen Faucet. We also have personally attended this event each year to further participate and show our support through auction and raffle events.
“Through the outstanding support of businesses like SOCI, Hendrick has been able to increase the number of students Hendrick serves from 35 to 55 over the past few years. By virtue of the donations such as those from SOCI that are utilized at Hendrick charity events, our revenues have increased over 35% in the past three years,” said Robert Lee, Board of Director member for the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. At SOCI we believe in supporting local foundations such as Hendrick in order to directly influence and enable our community’s youth.
